At Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 2, 2014,  iOS 8 was released for developers. In the Keynote speech iOS 8 was given a large amount of time. The final release date of the new OS for general public is rumored to be around October 2014. Before WWDC Speculations circulated around the release of iOS 8 and Apple’s new wearable device instead of iPhone 6 but Apple has not confirmed anything yet.

With Handoff you will be able to continue working on a same app across different Apple products. Handoff can be used with Mail, Safari, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Maps, Messages, Reminders, Calendar, and Contacts.

iCloud Drive

iCloud Drive lets you safely store all your presentations, spreadsheets, PDFs, images, and any other kind of document in iCloud and access them from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC.

Improvement in Spotlight Search

Spotlight now gives you suggestions from Wikipedia entries, places nearby, trending news, and more. It’s even smart enough to recognize context and location to offer you the most relevant information.

Health Kit App is based on the same idea which was behind Passbook that integrates and presents information from different apps regarding Coupon and tickets. Health Kit will bring in data from Nike and the MayoClinic App and present it in a simple single dashboard.
